- You’re downsizing. The new place is smaller and not everything is coming with you — yet.
- Renovation before move-in. New boiler, fresh paint, new floors: all much easier with an empty house.
- Staging to sell. A decluttered house photographs better and sells faster. Many sellers store half their furniture while the house is on the market.

What fits in a 10ft vs 20ft container?
Our Salford site offers two container sizes:
10ft container (around 80 sq ft) — roughly half a garage. It holds the contents of a one-bedroom flat: a sofa, bed, white goods and around 20–30 boxes. Ideal for smaller households, or for stashing furniture while you decorate. From £25/week.
20ft container (around 160 sq ft) — a full-size unit that swallows the contents of a typical 2–3 bedroom house: full furniture sets, appliances and 40+ boxes. This is the size most home movers choose. From £40/week.

- Message or call us on +44 7375 063637. Tell us what you’re storing and roughly how long. We’re open 7 days, 9am–9pm.
- We allocate your container at our Salford site (21 Cheltenham Street, M6 6WY). Every unit is covered by 24/7 CCTV monitoring.
- Move your belongings in. Bring them yourself or with your removals team — we work alongside trusted local movers including JCT 20 Removals — then access your container any day between 9am and 9pm.
Flexible weekly and monthly terms mean you can store for three weeks or three months — whatever your move demands.
5 tips for storing between moves
- Pack an essentials box — kettle, chargers, important documents, bedding and a change of clothes. Load it last so it’s the first thing you grab.
- Label every box on two sides. You’ll thank yourself when you’re hunting for the box with the TV remote at 10pm.
- Dismantle what you can. Beds, wardrobes and tables take up half the space flat-packed. Keep screws in labelled bags taped to the furniture.
- Protect soft furnishings. Mattress and sofa covers are cheap; replacing a stained mattress isn’t. Read our guide to keeping belongings dry in a storage container before you load up.
- Load heavy at the bottom, fragile on top — and leave a small walkway so you can reach things without unpacking everything.
