Storage for Landlords, Built Around Void Periods
Every landlord in Manchester knows the gap: one tenancy ends, the next hasn’t started, and there’s a flat full of furniture with nowhere to go. Or a refurb is underway and the carpets, white goods and spare furniture need to be out of the way — but not gone for good. That’s exactly what our landlord storage is for.
At our Salford yard we rent secure steel storage containers to landlords across Greater Manchester — a dry, monitored space for everything that belongs to the property but can’t stay in it right now. 10ft units from £25/week, 20ft units from £40/week, with flexible terms that match how voids actually work: sometimes a fortnight, sometimes six months.
What Manchester Landlords Store With Us
Furniture between tenancies. Sofas, beds, wardrobes, dining sets — everything from a furnished flat that needs to sit out one void. See our furniture storage service for how we handle it.
White goods and appliances. Washing machines, fridges and cookers removed during a refurb or a problem tenancy, kept clean and dry until they’re needed again.
Refurb materials and spares. Flooring, paint, spare doors, replacement fixtures — kept on site in your own lockup instead of cluttering another property or the back of a van.
Tenancy paperwork and records. Contracts, inventories, certificates and compliance documents going back years. Our document and archive storage keeps them organised and retrievable.
Two Sizes, Straightforward Pricing
10ft container — from £25/week. Around 80 sq ft of floor space: enough for the contents of a one-bed flat, a full set of white goods, or refurb materials for a single property.
20ft container — from £40/week. Around 160 sq ft: a full furnished house worth of furniture, stock for several properties, or furniture plus materials side by side.
Billing is weekly and terms stay flexible — handy when a void runs longer than expected or a refurb finishes early. If you’re only storing for a short gap between tenants, our short-term storage options work the same way.
Security Your Insurer Would Approve Of
Rental furniture and appliances are real money sitting idle, so security isn’t a nice-to-have. Each container is solid steel with its own padlock. The compound is monitored by 24/7 CCTV, and the containers themselves are ventilated to protect against damp and musty smells on soft furnishings.
Access When You Need It
The yard is open 9am–9pm, seven days a week — including weekends, when most landlord work actually happens. Pop in to drop off a sofa between viewings, collect a washing machine for a new tenancy, or grab refurb materials on a Saturday morning. No appointment needed.
Landlord Storage FAQs
How quickly can I get a container?
Call 07375 063637 and we’ll confirm what’s available.
Can I store items from several properties in one unit?
Yes — plenty of landlords keep one 20ft container as a central store for furniture and spares across their portfolio. Label everything by property and keep a simple list.
What if my void runs longer than planned?
That’s normal. Terms are flexible, so the unit simply stays yours for as long as you need it — weekly billing means you’re never paying far ahead.
Is my furniture safe from damp?
Containers are ventilated steel units designed to stay dry inside. Don’t load anything that’s already wet, use breathable covers on upholstery, and your furniture will come out as it went in.
